SAND CASTLE BUILDING TIPS

Event Description:

Grab your pails and your shovels and come on down to Jupiter Beach for the 5th Annual Karma Kastles: A Community-Wide Sand Sculpting Competition, Festival, and Fundraiser on Saturday, December 3rd from 9 AM – 2 PM. Money raised from the event goes to expand Karma Krew's mind-body wellness programs for underserved populations initative into shelters for domestic violence, homeless, and abused children as well as nursing homes, prisons, drug treatment clinics, and disaster relief zones. This beginner-friendly competition is designed to bring together local businesses, families, corporations, and groups of friends for a day at the beach to test their sand skills and support a great cause.

Karma Kastles is simple. You choose one of the following sandlot sizes and raise funds on behalf of your team. Teams are required to raise a certain amount based on their sandlot size, but you can raise even more and be eligible for fabulous prizes for top fundraisers and top sand sculptors!

• Sand Dollar Sandlot: 5’ x 5’, up to 4 people (Team Pledge Goal: $250) Total team registration fee: $60

• Starfish Sandlot: 8’ x 10’, up to 6 people (Team Pledge Goal: $500) Total team registration fee: $90

• Sailfish Sandlot:11’ x 15’, up to 8 people (Team Pledge Goal: $1000) Total team registration fee: $120

• Loggerhead Sandlot: 20’ x 20’, up to 10 people (Team Pledge Goal: $2000) Total team registration fee: $150

(Please note that the $15 per team member registration fee does not apply toward the Team Pledge Goal. It is used to pay for your event t-shirt and other event costs so that all money raised can go towards the cause.)
